Testimonials

“I first started attending Aparna Ji’s classes in first grade. Looking back, there were several classes which I disliked, but Aparna Ji’s class was not one of them. In fact, it is only one of three classes which I continuously attended for eight years. By Incorporating short stories and historical narratives, Aparna Ji makes her curriculum interesting. Every piece of literature exposes one to new styles of Hindi semantics and offers a glimpse into local cultures all across India.
She has not only improved my ability to read and write Hindi, but she has also instilled in me a great sense of appreciation for what my culture has to offer. From understanding the meaning behind my grandparents’ prayers to watching Hindi movies without any subtitles, if it weren’t for Aparna Ji’s classes, I wouldn’t have been able to partake in any such activity.
One of my favorite memories of her class is the year-end annual function she organizes for all families and students. Here, every student showcases their progress in Hindi through plays, stories, songs, poems, etc. Even though I don’t perform anymore, I still feel a great sense of joy when I attend her functions to watch my brother and his friends perform.
Thank you Aparna Ji for all your hard work” – Kushaal, 2017
“I highly recommend ‘Seekho Hindi’ with Ms. Aparna for learning Hindi. We are lucky to have a teacher like Ms Aparna coach the kids to learn to read, write and speak Hindi and learn about Indian cultural festivals. She makes it a point to speak to the kids in Hindi all the time and encourages them to converse, regardless of where they are in their learning. She also plans a fun end of year event where kids participate in short plays, are recognized for their efforts and they get to share their talents. All in all a great experience!” Seema, 2017
“Aparna is without question an excellent teacher of Hindi and in every sense of the word. My children have made great progress in reading, writing and speaking Hindi in just one year.   Most importantly they are developing a passion for the language to ensure their interest continues.  They look forward to their weekly classes.”.  – Leena. A few Appreciation Emails from Parents and Students:
Dear Ms. Aparna, Mihir was so happy to show the letter you wrote to me on Friday. Your gesture was so motivating to him. He told me that he read faster than usual without doing the “uhhhs” that he does. I think this is so introspective of him. You have so much patience with the children. Thanks to your dedication to Hindi, our children are lucky. I always thank the day when you came to sub for our kindergarten class in early 2011. A real stroke of luck!  Some people are meant to be in our life, and you are one such mentor. Deepa 2016
